The Springfield Armory Model 2020 Rimfire Target Black is a bolt-action .22 LR rifle designed to function as a high-quality rimfire trainer or precision target rifle. It is characterized by its heavy-profile barrel and a reinforced synthetic stock that mimics the ergonomics of the full-sized Model 2020 Waypoint centre-fire rifle. 

Barrel: 20-inch (508 mm) heavy profile with a straight taper contour.
Muzzle: Factory-threaded 1/2×28 TPI for suppressors, including a thread protector.
Action: Bolt-action with dual cocking cams and a 60-degree bolt throw for smooth, fast cycling.
Magazine: Ships with one 10-round rotary magazine; notably, the action is cross-compatible with Ruger 10/22 style magazines.
Trigger: User-adjustable Remington 700-style trigger group, allowing for extensive aftermarket customization.
